This temple is located on the bank of Yamuna at the height of 3293 meters above ocean level in the west of Garhwal Himalaya. This is the fourth famous place in all Char Dham and considered as an original place of Yamuna River but the real source of Yamuna River is Yamunotri Glacier located at the height of 6387 metres above ocean level.
